Bump to Baby is an innovative suite of services available online and by phone for expectant and new parents for up to 20 months. Our Pregnancy and Parenting Support Team offers telephone access to experienced midwives, lactation consultants and maternal health nurses who can provide expertise and support for your people from pregnancy right through to the first year of their child’s life.

Our personalised approach to care

Caring for mental health

Our team do regular check-ins on the client’s emotional well-being and feelings of social isolation that can come with new parenthood to ensure they do not become a risk for mental health problems. We can refer to MindStep or high intensity psychological services where clinically indicated.

Support when they need it most

Bump to Baby is a stepped-care service that facilitates identification, access and effective intervention for expectant and new parents in need of support. We provide ongoing health and risk screening delivered developed by the Centre of Perinatal Excellence (COPE) and triage to an appropriate service.

We really get to know people

Our service provides clients with access to their own personal midwife who gets to know them, their baby and their personal circumstances. Support is sensitive and individualised at all times, ensuring they can access the information and services that meet their needs and situation, such as personalised sleep and feeding support.

Giving them the tools to succeed

Bump to Baby offers online courses through online pregnancy and parenting learning portal, Nourish Baby, with written information, videos, case studies and ‘try it yourself strategies’ that parents can complete whenever and wherever suits them.

Around the clock support

Parents can access email or phone support at a time that suits them, with afterhours scheduled outbound calls as needed. Plus, they have 24/7 access to an online pregnancy and parenting learning portal, Nourish Baby.

Bringing together mental and physical health

Bump to Baby plus MindStep for parents in the antenatal and postnatal period with diverse mental health needs, and Bump to Baby plus Extra Care for women who present with clinical indicators associated with future poor health outcomes, e.g. gestational diabetes, obese gastrointestinal conditions.
